The Toyota Aygo has been voted top of the list of budget cars for 17 year old learners to insure. In this article, we will take a look at the top best budget vehicles for young drivers to get insurance cover.

Young people have to look far and wide to get the best possible deal for insurance cover. Many are quoted premiums costing thousands of pounds, however these charges can be significantly reduced depending on the make and model of the vehicle.

Toyota’s Aygo costs £641 a year for a 17 year-old’s cover via Admiral Insurance. It pays for young people to shop around before they finally settle on a premium that they can afford.

Another option for young people is to have a black box (known as telematics) fitted which will monitor how well they are driving. If they keep to the speed limit and drive safely, they can enjoy lower premiums.

Many 17 year old drivers are often unaware of the collective cost of driving a car. In addition to the purchaser of a car, there is also car insurance, vehicle tax and the cost of fuel. Buying a first car requires research and shopping around to get the best deal.
